Applications are sought for several postdoctoral and research scientist positions in physical oceanography, ocean modeling, and ocean remote sensing at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

The successful candidates will join the Red Sea Modeling and Prediction Group (https://assimilation.kaust.edu.sa/) working on modeling, monitoring and predicting the ocean-atmosphere circulation of the Arabian Peninsula region. The group is involved in various modeling, remote sensing and forecasting projects, including the joint KAUST/MIT/Scripps/PML/NCAR Virtual Red Sea Initiative and the Saudi ARAMCO Marine Environmental Research Center at KAUST (SAMERK). Qualified applicants should possess a Ph.D. in physical oceanography, remote sensing or any related field. Applicants should be able to work in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment and demonstrate a proven strong research record.

The initial appointment period is for two years with a competitive salary based on the candidate’s qualifications. KAUST offers excellent academic and social atmosphere.
