The Oceanic Fluid Dynamics Lab (https://www.physics.mun.ca/~afanai/) at the Department of Physics and Physical Oceanography, Memorial University of Newfoundland is seeking M.Sc. applicants interested in numerical simulations and/or lab experiments with rotating/stratified fluids. Possible applications include the dynamics of oceanic currents, vortices and waves. The graduate student will be fully funded and would have access to the computing facilities at the Digital Research Alliance of Canada.

Required qualifications:

  • B.Sc. degree in Physical oceanography/atmospheric physics/mathematics

  • Programming skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
