I’m excited to announce several positions as part of my new research group (‘Southern Ocean & Antarctic Sea ice Evolution’, or SO-ASE) based in the Climate Dynamics section at the Alfred Wegener Institute in Bremerhaven, Germany.
The group aims to tease apart the physical processes that have driven the surprising behaviour of Antarctic sea ice, and develop understanding of how the broader Southern Ocean climate system will change in the future.
The deadline for applications is Dec 31st 2024, and more details on the positions are available at the links below: Postdoc: https://jobs.awi.de/Vacancies/1893/Description/2 PhD position: https://jobs.awi.de/Vacancies/1895/Description/2 PhD position: https://jobs.awi.de/Vacancies/1896/Description/2 Salary tables are published here: https://oeffentlicher-dienst.info/tvoed/bund/. A scientific programmer position will also be advertised shortly.
Please feel free to share this with any potential candidates. Prospective candidates are very welcome to reach out to me at lettie.roach@awi.de with any questions about the positions or life in Bremerhaven/Bremen. I will also be at AGU next week and would be very happy to discuss further there.
Best wishes, Lettie
