Phd position in deep learning for metocean data (Bergen, Norway)

We have a fully-funded 4-year PhD position in the field of deep learning for metocean data at the Norwegian Meteorological Institute, Bergen, Norway.

The PhD project focuses on new and innovative methods for predicting metocean data (primarily surface waves and ocean parameters) by combining advanced numerical simulations and deep learning. The position is part of a new EU Horizon project aiming to develop a Digital Ocean Twin based on optimized metocean models.
